يُصْلِحُ في أَعْمَالِـهِ ثمَّ وَفيْ

سِتُّ سِنِينَ وَشُهُوْرٍ حُكْمُهُ(4)

وَفي الخِلافَةِ أُقِيْمَ المُكْتَفِيْ إِحْدَى وَثَلاثِينَ أَتمَّ عُمْرَهُ(3)

There is no diety except |
(the one) God alone |
He has no equal

-In The Name of God. This dirham was struck in Palestine in the year two and ninety and two hundred.

-To God is the will before and after and on that day the believers shall rejoice in God's victory

(1) He is Obu Muhammed Mu'tadid Ali bin Ahmed bin Talha bin Al-Muwafaq B.

Jaafar bin Mohammed al-Mutawakkil Mutassim bin Harun al-Rashid bin Mohammed Mehdi Ben Mansour Abbasi.

(2) He was acknowledged as Caliph during his father's sickness on Friday afternoon the 19th of Rabia' II, 289a.h (ALbedaia w alnehaia11/94) and said in Rabii Al-Akhir ( the completed history 6/114) . Al-Muktafi died in the prime of life on Sunday night the 12th of Du'l Kaa'dah in the year 295a.h (ALbedaia w alnehaia11/105) ( the completed history

(4)His Succession lasted for six years ,six months and nineteen days (ALbedaia w alnehaia11/105) (the completed history 6/437)
