وَهْوَ أَبُوْ العَبَّاسِ أَعْني أَحمَدَاْ

سَبْعَاً وَأَرْبَعِينَ أَوْفى عُمْرَهُ(4)

وَاسْتَخْلَفُوْا الخَلِيْفَةَ المُعْتَضِدَاْ

عَشْرُ سِنِينَ قَدْ أَتمَّ حُكْمَهُ(3)

AL MUA'TADHID BI' LLAH., Dinar | Year of mint: 288 A.H | |Place of Mint: Kufa

Obv.

There is no diety except
(the one) God alone
He has no equal

-In The Name of God. This dirham was struck in Kufa in the year eight and eighty and two hundred

-To God is the will before and after and on that day the believers shall rejoice in God's victory

Muhammad is the messenger of God. He sent him with guidance and the true religion to reveal it to all religions even if the polytheists abhor it.

(1) He is Abu Abbas Ahmed Bin Talha Al-Muwafak bin Jaafar bin Mutawakkil Mohammed Mutassim bin Harun al-Rashid.

(2) He was acknowledged Caliph in succession to his paternal uncle al Mu'atamid in Monday the 19th month of Rajab 279a.h.(albedaia w alnehaia 11/86)(The completed history 6/370).

(3) He died in Sunday night the 22nd of Rabii Al-Awal, 289a.h. .(albedaia w alnehaia 11/94)and some said Rabii Al-Akhir (The completed history 6/114).

(4) His reign lasted for nine years, nine months and thirteen days. (albedaia w alnehaia 11/94).others said seven years, six months and thirteen days (The completed history 6/114).
