إِذْ كَانَ مِنْ قَبْــــلُ وَلِيُّ العَهْـدِ(3)
وَعُمْرُهُ سِتٌّ وَعِشْرُوْنَ سَنَهْ(5)

وَوَلِيَ الهَادِيُ نَجْـلُ المَهْدِيْ
وَعَهْدُهُ شَهْرَانِ مِنْ فَوْقِ السَّنَهْ(4)

         There is no diety except 
         (the one) God alone 
         He has no equal

Marginal Legend:

Muhammad is the messenger of God. He sent him with guidance and the true religion to reveal it to all religions even if the polytheists abhor it.

(1) He is Al-Hadi, Abd Muhammad, Musa-b-u'l Mahdi-b-i'l Mansur b.Al-Mansur b.Muhammad b.Ali b.Abdullah b.Abbass.

(2) He was acknowledged Caliph after his father, in accordance with the latter's deed of succession in Muharam in the year 169 a.h; He died on Rabii' u'l Awwal in the year 170. (The completed History 5/263-273) (ALbedaia w alnehaia 10/159).

 

(3) The Bay'ah (Oath of allegiance) was given to him and to Haroun Al-Rashid in the life of ALMahdi in Thursday the 27th of Muharam in the year 160a.h (The completed History 5/275 ) (ALbedaia w alnehaia 10/131)

 

(4) He Regime lasted for six months and twenty three days and said one year, one month and twenty days  (The completed History 5/273 ) (ALbedaia w alnehaia 10/158)
