A Bouquet Out of history
From the era of the Righty Guided caliphs in the time of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him , Till the end of the Abbasid State (Abbasid Caliphate)
(1) AL MAHDI.
(2) 159-169 A.H.
الحَازِمُ المُصْلِحُ وَالذَّكِيُّ
وَالعَفْوِ وَالعِفَّةِ نِعْمَ المُدَّخَرْ
وَأَرْبَعُوْنَ وَ ثَــــلاثٌ عُمْـــــــــرُهُ(4)
وَقَامَ بَعْدَهُ ابْنُهُ المَهْـدِيُّ
بِالعَدْلِ وَالحِلمِ و بالجُودِ اشْتَهَرْ
عَشْرَاً مِنَ السِّنِينَ دَامَ حُكْمُهُ(3)

Obv.
There is no diety except
(the one) God alone
He has no equal

In The Name of God. This dirham was struck in al-Muhammadiya in the year eight and sixty and one hundred (168)
(1) Al Mahdi Abu Abdu'llah Muhammad-b-i'l Mansor better known by his regional name al-Mahdi bi-'llah (المهدي بالله, "He who is guided by God") hoping to be the promised to be in the prophet Hadiths but he was not. (ALBedaia W Alnehaia 10/151).
(2) He was proclaimed caliph when his father was on his deathbed (The completed History 5/225-226),(ALBedaia W Alnehaia 10/129). Al Mahdi died on 22nd of Muharram the year of 169a.h. (The completed History 5/260) .(ALBedaia W Alnehaia 10/156).
(3) Al-Mahdi reigned for ten years and a month and said forty nine days. (The completed History 5/260) .(ALBedaia W Alnehaia 10/156).
(4) His age was forty three years old . (The completed History 5/260) .(ALBedaia W Alnehaia 10/156).
